About the Role
As a Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the nursery. You will ensure the setting operates to the highest standards of care, education, compliance, and safeguarding while driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the full daily operations of the nursery
• Lead, manage, and support all staff members
• Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding regulations
• Monitor quality of care, learning, and development across all rooms
• Manage staffing, recruitment, rotas, and performance
• Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and external agencies
• Manage budgets, occupancy levels, and business performance (where required)
• Lead Ofsted inspections and maintain high inspection standards
• Drive continuous improvement and staff development
Requirements
• Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5/6 in Leadership preferred)
• Significant experience in nursery management or senior leadership
• Strong understanding of EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding, and compliance
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage teams and operational responsibilities effectively
