About the Role
As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a designated room within the nursery, ensuring high-quality care, learning, and development for all children. You will guide and support staff within your room while acting as a key point of contact for parents.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the daily running of your assigned room
• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Act as a key person for a group of children
• Support, supervise, and mentor Level 2 and Level 3 practitioners
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare standards are maintained
• Complete observations, assessments, and learning journals
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers
• Support behaviour management and inclusive practice
• Contribute to room planning and continuous improvement
Requirements
• Level 3 Early Years qualification or higher
• Previous experience in an early years setting
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Leadership and team management skills
• Good communication and organisational abilities
