About the Role
As a Level 2 Childcare Practitioner, you will support the care, learning, and development of children within an early years setting. Working under the guidance of senior staff, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities
Assist with children’s daily care routines (feeding, toileting, hygiene, nap times)
Observe and support children’s development and learning
Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
Support behaviour management in line with setting policies
Work as part of a team to support the daily running of the room
Requirements
Level 2 NVQ in Childcare / Early Years or equivalent
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Good communication and teamwork skills
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
Desirable
Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting
Paediatric First Aid training
